What’s new in 0.2.81

This Windows installer is currently unsigned, so Windows may show an “unknown publisher” or SmartScreen warning. Download it only from this website. On a managed laptop, ask your IT team to approve it.

Then

  1. Run the downloaded installer and follow its steps. No Python installation or virtual machine is needed.
  2. Open QualBuddy from the Start menu. Transcription and speaker-labelling models are included.
  3. Sign in under Settings → Account & trial with your email. We send you an eight-digit code.
  4. Start your 14 days when you’re ready. The built-in fictional example is a good first stop.

Updating? Close QualBuddy and run this installer from the same Windows account, keeping the existing installation location. You do not need to uninstall the previous version. Your projects stay on your computer.

This release passed installation, app launch, packaged offline transcription, speaker labelling and Word export checks on Windows Server 2022 x64. Windows on ARM is unverified.
