What’s new
in 0.2.81.

Supervision has a place of its own, a reflection is always one click away, and every document can be seen, saved as a PDF or printed before you share it.

Reflexive diary · Supervision

Supervision,
kept together.

Give each supervision a date, and gather what you want to bring as you work. On the day, tick off what you talked through, keep your notes and write down what you agreed.

  • What you agreed joins your next steps. Anything not yet done comes back next time.
  • Copy what you are bringing as plain text for an email.
  • A Supervision record for Word, PDF or print.
QualBuddy’s Supervision view: a month calendar with the next supervision marked, and that supervision’s page with what was agreed last time, two things to bring, space for notes and what is agreed.

Every workspace

A reflection,
one click away.

A slim bar runs down the right edge of every workspace. Click Add a reflection, or press ⌥⌘B on Mac or Ctrl+Alt+B on Windows, and write beside the words you are reading.

  • Words you have selected come with their line and time.
  • Choose For supervision to bring it to your next supervision.
  • Save to diary keeps it with the interview, and Undo takes it back.
An interview open in QualBuddy with the reflection out at the right: the selected words quoted with their line and time, For supervision chosen for Tuesday 13 October, and a note to bring.

Exports

See every page
before it leaves.

Each document on the Exports page shows its pages as they will be. Save it as Word or PDF, or print it.

  • Styled uses QualBuddy’s document style, with a title page.
  • Plain uses Word’s own styles, so the file is easy to edit.
  • With analysis highlights, the preview turns to the first page they are on.
A transcript page in the styled pages: a running line naming the study, then each turn in columns for line, time, speaker and words.
Styled
The same transcript in plain pages: a title and one line of details, then a paragraph for each turn.

Maps on paper

Print your map.
Cut it out.

Print any map as cards or bubbles with shared cut lines: what is not yet in a theme, each theme with its statements or codes, and the map as you arranged it.

Print on both sides and each card carries the participant’s words on its back, so you can sort the fronts on their own.

Rest the pointer on it to turn it over, as in the app.Tap it to turn it over.

A map’s pages ready to print in QualBuddy: statements as bubbles with shared cut lines, each theme leading its own, and one bubble turned over to show the participant’s words on its back.
An interview on a study’s Overview with a small Done seal on the participant’s picture.

Mark an interview as done

Choose Mark as done from an interview’s menu. A small seal sits on the participant’s picture. Nothing is moved or locked.

In Focus, the sides come to you

While you read in Focus, rest the pointer at the window’s left edge and the sidebar slides in. Move away and it goes again.
